How can I view my students' work?

You have a read-only portfolio that brings together the Projects and Academia modules of each of your students. You can view their work at any time, but never modify it — students remain the sole owners of their content.

How does the feedback thread with a student work?

Each project or activity has its own structured, dated discussion thread. You can write in it while the student is working — not just at the end — and the student receives a visual notification as soon as feedback is waiting to be read.

What happens if I have several roles with the same student?

Cogitare distinguishes three roles — tutor, mentor and subject expert — and you are identified separately in each one. If you are both tutor AND subject teacher for the same student, you keep the full access associated with each of these roles.

Can I see only the projects related to my subject?

Yes. The “Subject Priority” filter shows you the projects and activities to which the student has explicitly linked your subject, in addition to the full access you already have as a tutor, where applicable.

How does Cogitare differ from platforms already used in schools?

Platforms commonly used in schools generally address classroom management or communication needs — not the development of reflective competency. Here is how Cogitare compares with three types of platforms frequently found in schools:
